The Salty Dawg Young Marine Unit is located in Hutchinson, Kansas. The Young Marines is a non-profit youth education program for children from the ages of 8 until High School graduation. The program teaches self discipline, leadership, and Marine Corps values, HONOR, COURAGE, & COMMITMENT.

The Young Marines organization is the official youth organization of the Marine Corps League. However, we are not a recruiting source for the military. This is a non-profit national youth activity organization.

Young Marines are challenged to stay physically fit.

Young Marines attend several outings and community events throughout the year.

Including campouts, parades, community celebrations, and veterans appreciation events.
